It’s hard to be a high-performer and leader in the agency recruiting world. Truly. You are playing an endless game of activity metrics, staff motivation, client negotiations, competitive races to the finish line, and all of that happening on an emotional rollercoaster unlike any other client-facing job.
Sometimes, the pressure can be overwhelming. If only you had the magic pill to identify and hire the right people, get your team excited and motivated, and manage the intricate complexities of keeping operational performance and team productivity high. No matter how hard you work, it seems like there’s always someone or something that holds you back. And on some days, you might feel ready to just give up on your visions and goals altogether.
I started as a recruitment consultant with a generalist agency and quickly got recruited by Robert Half to start out their permanent placement operations in their new branch in Hamburg. While I have consistently been among the top 5% of recruiters worldwide, I also progressed through different levels of management and leadership over the years, starting as a division manager of a small team, thriving as a director of the German recruitment operations with a staff of 50 recruiters, serving as a turnaround specialist for the direct hire teams in San Francisco, CA, and finally leading out international service and leadership development as a vice president over the operations in continental Europe and the Eastern United States, coaching and training hundreds of leaders and top-performers throughout the organization.
After leaving my corporate role at Robert Half, I threw myself fully into the areas of personal development, mindset change, and leadership development and have since served as a consultant, trainer, and leadership coach for leaders and teams around the globe.
As a certified coach, I have developed a deep understanding of how the hidden narratives we live out as humans and leaders run many aspects of our personal and work lives, and what we can do to change them in a way that is more helpful to ourselves, to others, and to the overarching success of the organization.
What I have learned throughout my career is that, although the metrics of success in our industry are the same no matter where you are, the available training, mentorship, and access to proven success strategies, mindset coaching, and accountability to your goals are not the same in every environment.
My mission is to change that. I believe that with the right training, coaching, and consistent mentoring, the potential of leaders in the staffing and recruiting industry is endless.
